1. Frank Lloyd Wright and Taliesin West


Frank Lloyd Wright began building this desert masterpiece in 1937 as his personal winter home, studio, and architectural campus. Located on the beautiful Sonoran desert in the foothills of the McDowell Mountains in northeast Scottsdale, the site offers a broad range of guided public tours. Visitors experience Wright’s brilliant ability to integrate indoor and outdoor spaces.


2. Golf



This golf club offers two magnificent courses, the Monument and the Pinnacle, which boast almost identical challenges, unique design and breathtaking scenery.

3. McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park


Climb aboard the miniature replica of a Colorado narrow gauge railroad to explore this park features famous railroad cars and an antique carouse. It’s a fun place to spend your family time and great entertainment for kids.


4. Penske Racing Museum


This museum showcases an amazing collection of cars, trophies, and racing memorabilia. It’s a must see on your list!


5. Old Town Scottsdale

6. 5th Avenue Scottsdale


Downtown area with specialty shops, art galleries, boutiques, craft shops and restaurants. This is a part of Old Town Scottsdale.


7. The Comedy Spot



Good place to relax and get some laughs. It’s the Valley’s longest running comedy club and Scottsdale’s original “good time”.


8. Scottsdale Cultural Council


One of the Valley’s leading contemporary museums.


9. Kierland Commons Shopping


Unique and upscale shopping center that blends retail stores, dining, and entertainment.


10. Fashion Square Scottsdale


Southwest distinctive address for premier shopping and entertainment. Here you can find brands like Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Tiffany & Co., Salvatore Ferragamo, and more. Within Fashion Square, you can find some of the best restaurants, including the best steak in town at Mastro’s Steakhouse.


11. W Hotel Scottsdale


If you are thinking about “night life” and FUN, think W Hotel in Scottsdale! This is one of the top places to have great time. Indoor and outdoor bar with swimming pool in the middle, and great staff with DJ spinning hottest beats. Lack of teenagers allow for more sophisticated crowd, if you know what it means.

This beautiful Spa and award-winning cuisine located in the heart of Paradise Valley is a must!!! Here you can relax and spend the whole day in “paradise” This is one of our favorite locations with spectacular views and phenomenal service!


13. Rawhide Western Town 


If you are willing to travel a little bit outside of Scottsdale, you have to go visit Rawhide at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, AZ. It is a short worthwhile commute and when you get there, you will be able to step back in time to the Wild Wild West. Admission is free with an exception of few special shows offered at very low price. Lot’s of fun among Cowboys! Rawhide offers seasonal cookouts, 15 shops, and famous steakhouse. You won’t be disappointed!



Last but not least, you can always do a lot of hiking. There are fantastic trails all around Scottsdale and neighboring Paradise Valley. You can pick and choose whether you want to explore panoramic desert or indulge in breathtaking views from the mountains.

Our favorite one is Camelback Mountain with two different (challenging and less challenging) ways to the top. You can start your Camelback hiking at the Echo Canyon if you are up for the challenge. We strongly advise to start early in the morning as it gets hot later during the day
